- Day 1 Arrival at the Mountain village of Cercedilla. Bicycle and equipment hand-over, if required.
Accommodation: Peña Pintada, Cercedilla. (www.p-pintada.com) - Day 2 Spectacular cycle along forestry tracks, crossing the Sierra de Guadarrama, amongst mature pine forest, to arrive at the quaint village of Valsaín (breakfast and picnic lunch included).

The Hotels:
- Peña Pintada, Cercedilla: A recently renovated, XIXth century country house with large gardens. The hotel has eight double bedrooms with tv and en-suite facilities and several common rooms, including a lounge bar and dining room where meals are served. Very friendly service, English spoken.

- El Jardin de la Hilaria, Valsaín: Modern and welcoming hotel in a splendid rural setting. Fifteen comfortable double or family rooms with tv, wi-fi and full bathrooms. Garden seating area, Spa with Jacuzzi, Turkish bath and sauna. Restaurant. English spoken.



- Hostería del Arco, Pedraza: Located in the beautifully preserved medieval town of Pedraza, this rural hotel combines comfort with old Castillian rustic style. Ten very comfortable rooms and dining room, beautiful inner courtyard and bar. English not spoken, but friendly staff very willing to understand.



- Posada de San Millán, Sepúlveda: Situated in the old historic center of Sepúlveda. A protected building and one of the oldest buildings in town, with a XIIth century Romanesque front and XVth century inner courtyard. It consists of eight original and carefully decorated bedrooms around the courtyard and a garden offering wonderful views. English spoken.

How do I get to the Starting Point? There are trains from Madrid to Cercedilla every hour (5€, takes 1hr 15mins)
How do I get back to Madrid? Book our local transfer From Sepulveda to Segovia (60€, takes 1hr) and catch an AVE (High Speed Train) back into Madrid (9€, takes 25mins).
